Byron House

The assisted living facility was conceived as a large house, drawing heavily on the materials and character of the surrounding neighborhood.  The 33-unit facility on the campus of Our Lady of Mercy in Potomac, Maryland has a compact, two-story footprint to preserve many of the mature trees, giving the building an established presence.  A one-story entry porch eave with dormers above reinforces the facility’s residential character.
